LEAVENWORTH, Kan. –Until Exact Architects bought the Ben Day School, it stood empty for seven years. Now the 95-year-old historic building is on its way to becoming 25 new apartments.The $3 million project is partly funded by state and federal tax credits. Architects who are a part of the projected decided to stick to the guidelines of the National Park and State of Kansas For Historic places while constructing the apartments.
